This beautiful Krishna tanjore Painting depicts the leela where little Krishna lifted the giant mountain ‘Gowardhan parvat’ on his little finger and saved the lives of his fellow villagers and cattle’s. On one hand Krishna saved the lives and on the other he also broke the ego of the King of Gods ‘Indra’. The magnanimity of this spectacular leela is well carved by the artisan of this painting. Krishna is well associated with the Cows, his Gopis and his bansuri (flute). All have been corrugated in the Painting so artistically. Divine energies were helping him is well depicted with the help of Ganesha and Rishi (learned enlightened saint) helping him lift the Giant mountain.
