Alia Bhatt's Turquoise Blue Mysore Silk Saree

Alia Bhatt’s custom turquoise blue Mysore silk saree which she wore for the opening of the Sri Ram mandir, was styled elegantly by celebrity stylist Ms.Ami Patel. The saree has miniature paintings done in a traditional “Pattachitra” style. Significant events from the Ramayan are depicted in three panels on the Pallav, namely:

The breaking of the Shiva Dhanush, King Dasarath’s promise, Crossing the River Ganga in the boat with Guha, The golden deer, Crossing the Laxman rekha, Ram Setu ready in all its glory, Hanuman presenting the ring to Mata Sita in Ashok vatika, Lord Ram’s Pattabhishek.
